No, this is not a peer-reviewed source. This is a volunteer journal. While articles are written by scholars, they do not undergo a peer-review process and therefore cannot be used as academic secondary sources.

How do I cite an article from Historically Modern?
Preferred citation:
Last name, First Name. "Article Title." Historically Modern [volume number] (year published). URL.
Example:

Will this site continue to publish content after September 2025?
This site began as a twelve-month project, but after much conversation with our team, we have decided to come back for Volume Two!
Volume Two will run from
Oct 2025- Sept 2026.

Can I contribute an article?
At this time, we are no longer accepting public submissions for our current volume. Follow our socials to be the first to know when our submissions portal for Volume 3 opens in 2026.

Can I volunteer with Historically Modern?
Thank you for your interest! At this time, we are not hiring on any more volunteers, but in the event that we are looking for new folks, follow us on our socials for any volunteer job postings!
